TESTIMONIALS

NKUA is a great medical school to achieve your dreams and secure a future in medicine.

My personal experience has been excellent. Everything has been smooth since I first arrived thanks to the faculty and staff. Our curriculum is very well organized and all of our classes are taught in English by dedicated professors always willing to support us. We have quality instruction with informative lectures and labs. I appreciate the University’s mission of internationalization. I have made friends from around the world and I am able to create new experiences while earning my medical degree in one of the best Universities of Greece.

From a very young age, I had an immense interest in medicine and I could never imagine myself studying anything else.

I admire the medical profession whose primary goal is to improve people’s life through effective diagnosis and treatment and also the continuous incredible evolvement of medicine through research. NKUA is among the oldest and best universities in the world, from which great scientists have graduated, such as Dr. Georgios Papanikolaou, founder of Pap – test. For these reasons, I could only feel proud of being a medical student at NKUA. This newly introduced English Medical Degree Program is well organized and all the professors are excellent in their teaching, providing us with helpful material and being available for tutoring at any time. I’m very grateful for my decision to study medicine at the English Medical Degree Program of NKUA.

The 6 years medical degree is qualified with the best professors in their field , fully equipment laboratories and specifically selected courses that provide the require knowledge needed for a medical student. Although its worth mentioning that Athens is one of the most beautiful city in the world that somebody can choose to spend the next 6 years studying and enjoying the unlimited chances of fun that Athens provides. I highly recommend the specific program and starting your medical career from NKUA , will be a great start for your curriculum vitae.

Medicine is an art that I gravitated towards from the day I could say I want to help people.

I come from a family where traditional healing was practiced by ordinary family members. Despite being ordinary, they could perform the greatest feats of healing as if it was magic. As I grew up. that magic transformed into a passion in Medical Science, a passion I had hoped to cultivate by receiving the best medical training in the world. What better place than the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens-home to the greatest physicians and scientists in Modern Medical History. I remember when I got the email that I would be interviewed for a place at the University of Athens, I immediately sensed that it was destiny. The opportunity to be in the origin country of democracy, philosophy and medicine was not one I would pass up. There were hurdles I had to overcome-but thanks to the sacrifices made by my family, the miracles performed by the administration of the University of Athens, I have the privilege to be apart of this program. I am exposed to brilliant people-yes we may differ in cultures, traditions and ethnicity-yet we find ourselves to be unified by a single dream. To be ordinary and perform the extraordinary. And just maybe on a personal perspective-to perform magic, and be a part of History.

My experience at NKUA has been truly rewarding.

From the moment I joined the English Medical Degree Program, I felt supported—both academically and personally. The curriculum is well-structured and allows us to build a strong foundation in medical sciences while developing our clinical skills and critical thinking.

What stands out the most is the dedication of the faculty. Our professors are not only experts in their fields, but they also care deeply about our understanding and success. The learning environment is interactive and engaging, and opportunities such as workshops, research, and student-led initiatives add great value to our training.

Living and studying in Athens is an experience I will always cherish. The city is vibrant, full of culture, and incredibly welcoming. I feel proud to be a part of NKUA and confident in the education I am receiving as I work towards becoming a compassionate and skilled doctor.

Studying medicine at NKUA has been a transformative experience.

As a Biomedical Sciences graduate from University College London (UCL), I was looking for a program that combined academic rigor with a supportive community—and I found exactly that at NKUA. The English Medical Degree Program is exceptionally well-organized, gradually building our theoretical knowledge and preparing us for clinical training.

The faculty are approachable, knowledgeable, and always ready to support our academic and professional development. There are plenty of opportunities for research and personal growth, making this program truly well-rounded.

Being a student ambassador has also allowed me to connect with future students, share my experience, and contribute to the community.

I am grateful to be part of such a high-quality program in a city as dynamic and historic as Athens. Studying here has enriched both my education and my personal journey toward becoming a physician.
