APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1: Start your application

Documentation required

WHO HAVE ALREADY OBTAINED A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION DIPLOMA

•National ID card* and passport or other identification document

•graduation diploma and final two years’ academic transcript*, both in the original language and official translation in English.

  • In case the school graduation diploma is obtained by an IB school, a minimum of 38 points overall including three higher level subjects (two of them should be selected from Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and three standard level subjects, is required
  • In case the school graduation diploma is obtained by a non-IB school, High School Graduation Diploma, AND submission of successful examination results in either A-levels with minimum grades AAA, subjects requested are Chemistry, Biology and one more science subject (i.e., Physics, Mathematics); BMAT (Biomedical Admission Test),  Examination periods accepted: 2022 and February 2023; MCAT (Medical College Admission Test),  Examination periods accepted: 2021,2022, 2023;
    English language competency certificate.

•English language competency certificate*(not required for English native speakers and for IB school graduates),

•short curriculum vitae*

•a brief personal statement*, to outline your reasons for wishing to enroll in the program

 

Reference letters

WHO ARE in the final high school grade

•statement of enrolment for the current year both in the original language and in English

•current year’s most recent transcript of records*, both in the original language and in English

Following your initial application, you will obtain an application ID.

The Admission Office will then:

  •check your credentials

  • inform you about your eligibility for admission to the program and perhaps suggest additional steps you could take to meet the admission requirements

 

 Step 2: Finalize your application

As soon as you have all the required documents in hand, you should finalize the application.

At this stage, you must have certified your original documents and their official translation into English.

  •either by having the Apostille attached to them, if your country is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. Find Apostille countries in https://www.apostille.org.uk/apostille-countries

  •or by having them certified by a Hellenic Consulate or Embassy office in your country. 

Subsequently, using you application ID you should upload

  •Your graduation diploma, both in the original language and in English, certified as described above.

  •Final year academic transcript or IB scores or, additionally, other test results as described above for non-IB school graduates, both in the original language and in English, certified as described above.

  •English language test results, if you had not provided them in the first step (not required for native speakers and for IB school graduates),

  •If you are a last-year senior high school student, you might not have your diploma in hand yet. You still need to have your most recent academic transcript certified as well as the previous school year’s academic transcript.

 Step 3: Potential Interview

If you are eligible for admission you may be invited to an interview via online video conference.

Step 4: Notification of acceptance

A formal letter of notification of acceptance will be sent to you

Step 5: Pay the tuition fees

Please follow the instructions to pay the amount of 13,000€ to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

 Health insurance

You should have arranged for private health insurance, covering your stay in Greece during your studies before you can enroll in the program.
In case you need assistance, our Admission Office can help you with this process.

 

Applications platform will open by November 14th, 2022.

Applications will be submitted until March 3rd, 2023.
