The program is addressed exclusively to foreign nationals from countries within or outside the European Union (national ID card and/or passport are required). Specifically:

A) Eligible applicants should have attended or are currently attending the final two years of high school (or equivalent school) in a foreign country and should have obtained a high school diploma (July 2027 or earlier) or equivalent secondary education diploma that entitles them to admission to higher education institutions in the country where they graduated. (A high school graduation diploma and academic transcripts for the final two years will be required, both in the original language and in an official translation in English.)

B) Eligible are also applicants who have graduated/will graduate of a recognized foreign high school of another EU Member State or a third country, which is based and legally operates in Greece, and whose leaving certificate entitles the holder to admission to Higher Educational Institutions based in the country whose curriculum the foreign high school in question follows, provided that:

ba) neither the applicants nor their parents are Greek nationals, and

bb) applicants have attended on a full-time basis at least the two (2) last grades of high school. (A high school graduation diploma and academic transcripts for the final two years will be required, both in the original language and in an official translation in English.

Eligible applicants should have obtained or expect to obtain at least one of the following:

  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Applicants must have achieved (or be predicted to achieve) at least 36 points overall, including three higher-level subjects (two of them should be selected from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and three standard-level subjects.
  • French Baccalaureate: Typical offers for applicants taking the Diplôme du baccalauréat general (French Baccalaureate, including the baccalauréat français international) would be based on 16 (mention très bien) out of 20. Applicants are also asked to achieve a minimum score of 15 in the following individual subjects: Physics , Chemistry and Biology. It is recommended that in Premiere all 3 special subjects listed above are taken.
  • European Baccalaureate: Applicants must have achieved (or be predicted to achieve) an overall score of 85%, including 8.5 in Chemistry and Biology. Mathematics and/or Physics must be included. For all required courses, written examinations are mandatory; oral examinations are not accepted.

A- Level subject-based qualification, with minimum grades AAA, taken in one set of exams. Subjects requested are Chemistry, Biology and one more science subject (i.e., Physics, Mathematics). Please note that the standard offer is likely to be A*AA with the A* in either Chemistry or Biology.

Three or more Advanced Placement (AP) in science subjects, scores at grade 4. Applicants are also expected to have achieved a high score in the SAT test,which will be evaluated in combination with APs.

Please note that this is a combined qualification criterion.

BSc cognate to medicine from an accredited institution with a minimum overall grade 65% or equivalent grade to a different grading system. Final year graduating students must have predicted 65% or equivalent grade to a different grading system.

Please note that distance learning programs will not be evaluated.

Language Requirements

TOEFL score (with a minimum score 80/120)

IELTS Overall score of 7.5 or above, with at least 6.5 in each component.

First Certificate in English (FCE): B2

Native English speakers and graduates of high schools where the language of instruction is English are exempt from submitting a certificate of English proficiency.

General Remarks

  • Interview: Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an online interview with faculty members of the School of Medicine as part of the final selection process.
  • All applicants who expect to obtain their baccalaureate or A – Levels results after the deadline of applications, must include official predicted grades/scores issued by their school. In case that an applicant expects to graduate from a Bachelor’s program, a recent official academic transcript should be uploaded or sent when issued, but no later than 31/03/2027.
  • Please note that program Admissions Officers have the right to contact the relevant services of the school/college/university for matters of their competence as well as to cross-check reference letters.
  • Reference letters that have no letterhead, contact details of the referees as well as signature will not be considered valid and evaluated.
