I am Christos Dermosoniadis, a second-year medical student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a BSc Biomedical Sciences graduate from University College London (UCL).
Studying medicine is a journey that builds resilience, as it challenges us to grow, learn, and persevere. Every obstacle faced brings us closer to making a meaningful impact on others’ lives, combining knowledge, compassion, and determination to create positive change.
Being an ambassador is a role I truly enjoy because it allows me to inspire upcoming medical students and create positive interactions. I thrive in social environments and love the opportunity to engage with others and build relationships.
The medical program at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is exceptionally well-structured, providing a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and scientific understanding. The curriculum is designed to build a deep understanding of the fundamental medical sciences before progressing to clinical training, ensuring a solid academic base. The faculty is highly supportive, and the university offers numerous opportunities for research, skill development, and professional growth. I am truly grateful to be part of such well-rounded program, and I feel fortunate to be gaining the knowledge and experience necessary to become a competent and compassionate physician.
